Survey
This survey was carried out by Marine Biologist Dr. Paul Johnston & Associates. The survey was funded by Groundwork (NI). We regard this as our Bible.
To gain funding for Restoration & Development the Association applied for European Structrial funding through E.U European Peace 2 Initiative.
European Structrial Fund
The Association applied for funding towards the redeveloping the Threemilewater River, recieveing a total of £49,000, with the help of Dr. Paul Johnston.
This project again with the help of Marine Biologist Dr. Paul Johnston describes the outline as to the work needed done to improve the Threemilewater.
Threemilewater Restoration
The Association came up with their outline into the work that needed to be done to turn what was known as a derelict river into a game fishery.
Dam
Threemilewater has applied to BIFFA for funding to carry out development of Mossley Mill Dam.
We will be stocking the dam this year again with approximatly 400 brown trout.
Fishing on Mossley Mill Dam will be strictly fly fishing only. Guides and Instructors can be provided.
